Progressive update….

A wet week preceded the annual 2 day event held at the WAJMCC grounds, a reported 150mls of rain fell to rid the club of the usual dusty hard pack of the past.

With dust not an issue the club were faced with another challenge, sloppy mud and lots of it!! To their credit, the club, the officials and all the volunteers got everything in order and kept it that way for the entire weekend.

It is most pleasing to say that all team members that attended the 2 day open not only rode well, but progressed. All were rewarded with top 3 results.

While all rode strong, I was most impressed and am proud to say;

 Tim Jacobs rode with a new intensity, consistently all weekend, well done Tim.

Mitchell Applegate is coming on strong with a new confidence strengthened by good technique and timing, well done Mitchell, keep it up!

Kyal Gillespie is starting to find his feel for the bigger 85cc machine, it has been a slow start to Kyal’s year with limited time on the bike, something I hope changes in this second half.

This is not to say others didn’t ride very well, they all did, at this time though the above 3’s efforts stand out and they are progressing well.

With Shane Fowler and Kenlen Youl both coming back from injury our team will be bolstered with their insights and experience and I look forward to this second half of the year and the challenges it will present.
